New York man found murdered in car near Citi Field: cops

A 33-year-old man was found murdered in a parked car just a few steps from Citi Field this week, authorities said.

The victim was discovered just after noon Tuesday in the back of a car parked at 127th Street and 35th Avenue in Willets Point, about a block from Mets Stadium, police said.

He had “clear signs of injury on his body” and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The NYPD confirmed early Wednesday that the case had been ruled a homicide.

The NYPD said on Wednesday that no further information about the murder or its motive has been forthcoming. No arrests were made.
