Stolen car leads San Angelo police to arrest with multiple warrants

SAN ANGELO, Texas. San Angelo police began the week with the discovery of a suspect wanted on multiple warrants.

At approximately 6 a.m. Monday, San Angelo Police were sent to Jack’s Convenience Story on N. Königheim in connection with unauthorized vehicle use.

While the officers were on the scene, an officer found a vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle driving down Pulliam. The driver of the stolen car abandoned the car at 1728 Pulliam Street (Dun Bar East Motel and Restaurant) and fled into the complex on foot.

The suspect was later found in the Dun Bar East area, with the victim’s mobile phone found on him. During the police officer’s initial investigation, it became known that this suspect may also have been involved in other burglaries during the weekend.

The driver of the stolen car was 35-year-old Dustin Duffy. He was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, public intoxication, evading arrest, and multiple warrants.

Additional costs may be charged pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
