Heartless thieves posing as Con Edison workers rob a woman’s apartment in Brooklyn – even in a wheelchair

A pair of ruthless scammers posing as Con Edison workers broke into a Brooklyn woman’s apartment, handcuffed and blindfolded her, and then stole her television and even what appeared to be her wheelchair.

Two men knocked on the door of a 58-year-old woman in Brownsville around 11:58 p.m. Feb. 6, claiming to be with Con Ed, police said Saturday. When the unsuspecting victim opened the door, one man pulled out a gun and the bastards rushed in.

The thieves then tied up the woman and then ransacked her apartment and took various items and $300 in cash.

CCTV footage shows the thieves carrying away large bags of stolen goods. One man is seen pushing various objects into the hallway in a wheelchair taken from the apartment.

The victim was not hurt during the robbery.

The two men, aged between 30 and 40, of average build, were last seen wearing dark clothes. No arrests were made.
