A missing 13-year-old Dallas girl has been found locked in a barn 1,000 miles from home, officials say.

The deputies said that the teenager met his alleged kidnapper – Jorge Comacho – on the Internet and then in person.

LEXINGTON, North Carolina. Investigators said a missing 13-year-old Dallas girl was found more than 1,000 miles away on Friday, locked in a barn in Davidson County, North Carolina.

Dallas police have confirmed to WFAA that the teen is in Lexington, North Carolina, about an hour north of Charlotte.

North Carolina authorities on Monday said the teen met his alleged kidnapper, Jorge Comacho, online and then in person.

“They found that the underage was interacting with an adult male via social media chat platforms. The content of the chat was one of courtship and seduction, and he seduced her to leave the house where he picked her up in the (Dallas) area. “, Davidson County Sheriff Richie Simmons said at a press conference.

The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office worked with the FBI to trace the whereabouts of the teenager and the suspect. Investigators said they received information about Comacho’s whereabouts and stopped traffic.

Simmons said they found the girl locked in an outbuilding on Comacho’s property on Linwood Southmont Road.

The girl was rescued and taken to a local hospital for treatment. She has now returned home with her family, officials said.

Comacho faces several charges, including rape and indecent liberties with a child, officials said. He is in jail on more than $1 million bail.

His first appearance in court was scheduled for Monday at 2:00 pm.

Dallas police said the investigation into the case is ongoing. They deferred questions to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI in Dallas.

More information about the case was not immediately available.
