7-year-old girl from the Bronx stabbed to death by her grandmother while clinging to life
Police sources said a 7-year-old Bronx girl was stabbed by her grandmother on Tuesday morning, leaving the victim clinging to life.
Police called to the family’s apartment on Clinton Avenue, off 169 E Street in Morrisania, at about 8 a.m., found a young girl lying in bed with multiple stab wounds to her back, neck, and abdomen.
Medics took the child to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition.
According to a police source, her grandmother was found in the apartment and taken into custody as a defendant in the attack.
The grandmother was taken to St. Barnabas’ Hospital for a medical examination and no charges were immediately filed.
