World famous UFC fighter accused of assaulting a woman on his boat and forcing her to jump overboard

UFC fighter Conor McGregor is under investigation over allegations that he attacked a woman on a boat in Spain last summer.

According to the allegations, the woman claims McGregor “punched her and threatened to drown her,” ESPN reported.

A spokesman for McGregor denied the allegations.

“Mr. McGregor unwaveringly denies all allegations made by a guest on his boat,” McGregor spokesperson Karen Kessler said in a statement.

According to a translated version of the report in the Spanish-language publication Ultima Hora, the woman said she knew him from the area where McGregor, a Dublin native, lived before becoming a fighter.

She said that McGregor invited her to a party that evening. Very early on July 17, 2022, she said that McGregor invited her to join him and his group on his yacht. The woman said McGregor’s girlfriend, Dee Devlin, was among those at the party.

The woman, whose name has not been released, said Devlin went to bed while she, McGregor and two others remained on deck.

The complaint against McGregor stated that he insulted her and criticized her appearance.

The Majorca Daily Bulletin reported that the woman believes the trigger for the attack was when she tried to ask a friend who was on the yacht to help her.

“All of his behavior changed and he became very aggressive,” the woman said, according to Ultima Hora.

She claimed that she was kicked below the navel and punched in the face.

She claimed that he then said, “I’m going to drown you, who are you?”

The woman said she then jumped into the water, where she was eventually rescued by the Red Cross.

The report says the woman initially told police that McGregor was not the person who attacked her.

The complaint was dismissed at the time. The woman explained that at the time of the interrogation by the police she had only a bikini of clothes and she just wanted to leave.

According to the report, she filed a police report upon her return to Ireland and has since given the names of the officers to substantiate her claim.

In 2020, McGregor was accused of sexual harassment in France, but the case against him was dropped, according to Yahoo Sports. In 2019, he paid $1,120 to settle an assault charge following an incident in a Dublin bar.
