Woman and man shot to death in separate shootings in New York on Saturday night

On a bloody Saturday night in New York, a woman was gunned down in Brooklyn and a man in Manhattan, according to police.

Police said a 24-year-old woman was shot in the right leg outside the Ebbets Field apartments at MacKeever Place and Montgomery Street in Crown Heights around 9:05 pm.

She was taken to the Kings County Hospital, where she is expected to recover, police said.

The woman is uncooperative and no suspects have been identified, police said.

The police papered the parking lot of the apartment complex and searched the interior of a Nissan Maxima with a Tennessee license plate.

An elderly resident told The Post that her daughter heard one gunshot.

“I’m not too happy about it. I have lived here for 53 years and this is the third shooting that has taken place here,” said a resident who declined to give her name.

“I hope to get out of here in three years,” she said, adding that she plans to move to Virginia.

In Manhattan, a 25-year-old man was shot in the back around 9:10 a.m. at 310 East 113 Street in East Harlem, police said.

According to police, he was taken to Cornell Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police described the suspect in the shooting as a man in his 20s wearing a black coat, blue hoodie, black jeans, timberlands and a New York Yankees cap. He fled on foot in an unknown direction.
