Weed shop clerk stabbed by customer near Times Square

A clerk in a Times Square area store advertising itself as a weed shop was stabbed in the stomach with a knife by a customer Sunday afternoon, police said.

The clerk was attacked in the “Cannabis Gifts” store on Eighth Ave. near W. 40th St. about 2:30 p.m.

Medics took the injured clerk to Bellevue Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

The suspect dressed in a red-hooded sweatshirt took off north on Eighth Ave. He has not been arrested.
