Two teenagers are gunned down outside their high school in Queens; 12 year old boy taken into custody

Police sources said two teenagers were shot dead during a fight on Wednesday outside their high school in Queens, and a 12-year-old boy suspected of pulling the trigger was taken into custody.

A major fight broke out near the corner of Linden Boulevard. and 207th Street in Cumbria Heights around 4:50 pm, police and sources said.

A group of teenagers got into a fight a block from Campus Magnet High School, where the two victims go to school.

A gun battle broke out and a 16-year-old girl was shot in the right ankle and a 14-year-old boy was shot in the right leg, police said.

As the 12-year-old shooter was fleeing the scene, police officers nearby saw him drop his gun, sources say.

The girl was taken to the Cohen Children’s Medical Center, and the boy was taken to the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Both of them were expected to recover from their injuries.

The charges against the boy were filed late Wednesday night.
