Third person arrested for shooting of Queens man gunned down in his apartment building

A third arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of a Queens man last year, police said Monday.

Jaquan Alston, 22, was arrested for the Aug. 31, 2021 slaying of Broderick Daniels, 28, and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, according to cops.

Nasiem Pearson, 22, and Kingsley Ruffin, 21, were both arrested and hit with murder and weapon possession charges earlier this year.

Police on the scene at 184th St near 104th Ave. in Hollis Queens on Tuesday August 31, 2021.

Daniels was shot multiple times in the torso in the vestibule of the apartment building he grew up in on 184th St. near 104th Ave. in Hollis, cops said.

He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, but he could not be saved.

Police believe the shooting was the result of a gang rivalry.

Alston’s arraignment in Queens Criminal Court was pending Monday evening.
