Thieves raided SoHo Givenchy, stole $50,000 worth of expensive bags and accessories: VIDEO

Police said Friday a gang of nimble thieves broke into SoHo Givenchy, stealing more than $50,000 worth of expensive handbags and other accessories in a daring morning raid.

Four scammers smashed the front door window of a boutique on Green Street near Spring Street around 7:30 a.m. Feb. 11 by entering the hole they had made, police said.

Surveillance video from inside the store shows the suspects, three men and a woman, opening duffel bags into which they stuffed wallets, clutches and other bags left in plain sight.

The video shows the thieves ripping expensive bags from the security cords they were tied to.

One of the suspects only had a small paper bag to carry his loot, while the other had a duffel bag large enough to hold hockey gear.

As the three raiders emptied the shelves, a fourth suspect, wearing a Yankees baseball cap and a white surgical mask, ran to the back of the store and began stripping clothes from the shelves, as shown in the video.

The video shows the thieves entering and exiting the store within 45 seconds.

The suspects were last seen heading north on Green Street towards West Houston Street.

A group of nimble thieves broke into a Soho boutique, stealing over $50,000 worth of expensive handbags and other accessories in a daring morning raid.

On Friday, police released CCTV footage in the hope that someone would identify the suspects.
