Texas mom makes heartbreaking plea for stolen baby’s ashes

According to local reports, a mother in Texas is begging thieves to return her child’s ashes, which were stolen during a break-in at the family’s warehouse.

“Please return my daughter’s ashes, that’s all I have left of my daughter,” Lily Nichol said in an open letter to the scammers, according to Austin broadcaster KXAN.

Nicola’s daughter, Sa’Miya, was just a child when she died in 2013. At the time, the family lived in Denver.

The family then moved from Colorado to Texas, leaving the remains of an 11-month-old baby and other belongings in a warehouse in the Lone Star State while they stayed with relatives and looked for a home.

Before the family could collect their belongings, in December, Nicole received a call from a vault in Round Rock, a suburb of Austin, informing her that the locks on her home had been picked by someone. According to the mother, she was assured at the facility that nothing was missing, and the staff member told her that the locks would be replaced and that she did not need to take any action.

On Friday, Nicol finally went to the warehouse as the family moved into a new home. It was then that they discovered that the ashes, televisions, computers and other valuables had disappeared.

“I noticed we were missing a lot of items,” Nichol said. “We lost everything, including my daughter’s ashes.

“I don’t care about the rest – I just want her back,” said the grieving mother, wiping her tears.

She wrote a statement to the police and asks to inform everyone who has information.
