Teen rider dies at first rodeo attempt in North Carolina

This was the first time Denim Bradshaw was able to ride a bull as a professional rider. Unfortunately, this will be the 14-year-old’s last ride after a devastating accident.

Bradshaw was set to ride his bull at a rodeo in Stokes County, North Carolina over the weekend.

According to WFMY, the witness said that Bradshaw fell into the bullpen and stood up to drive. However, as soon as the doors opened, the bull came down twice, knocking Bradshaw to the floor. An eyewitness said that the bull then stepped on Bradshaw’s chest, causing his heart to stop.

Rescuers have already arrived at the scene, who monitored the situation and quickly took measures to save lives.

The Rafter K Rodeo Company, LLC later posted a post.

“Everyone at Rafter K Rodeo Company, LLC would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of bull rider Gene Bradshaw,” the company wrote on its Facebook page. “Our sport is a real family, and we are very grateful to everyone who helped.”

“This is a tragic event and words cannot describe the pain that this loss has experienced. We ask everyone to come together and pray for their family for comfort and healing during this difficult time, ”the message says.

The GoFundMe page was created to help a family with expenses.

“Denim plunged into the world of bull riding and fell in love,” the GoFundMe post reads. “Boots, cowboy hats, and big belt buckles, he liked it all.”

“None of us could believe that this first trip would lead to his death and we are more than devastated. Our sweet 14 year old boy died at the most exciting moment of his short life and now we are lost without him.
