Stacey Abrams’ plan to boost Democratic turnout is being countered by a new GOP plan from this growing group.

EXCLUSIVE: A rival group to Stacey Abrams’ successful voting organization (GOTV) is touting what it says is a “scheme” to counter Democratic gains in swing states across the country in preparation for the 2024 election.

The Greater Georgia Group was founded in 2021 by former Senator Kelly Loeffler, D-Ge. with the goal of registering more conservatives to vote, attracting a more diverse voter roll, and holding the vote with the necessary ground game. infrastructure, all to avert a defeat similar to the one the state’s Republicans suffered in the 2020 election.

Speaking with Fox News Digital, Loeffler detailed the gains made by Greater Georgia during the 2022 midterm elections in each of these areas — all of which she says can be replicated in other swing states — and what improvements , she said, is necessary to contribute to the Republicans to overcome the financial and organizational advantages of the Democrats.

“We have been an all-red state for over a decade. And what we saw in 2022 was more opportunities to win in our state for our elected state officials and indeed — we had a majority in the vote. [state] house and [state] The Senate has won more districts this cycle than it did in 2020,” Loeffler said.

She also pointed to Republican victories in every statewide race except one, in which GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker was defeated by Democratic incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock in the runoff election by less than 35,000 votes, despite that the latter spent over $100 million. on the race.

She attributed this success in part to Greater Georgia recruiting about 1,000 grassroots volunteers, registering over 36,000 new voters, and hosting 26 community roundtables to attract more diverse conservative voters, all of which she detailed in the organization’s annual report after interims. elections.

Asked about Abrams’s GOTV Fair Fight organization and how it succeeded in helping to elect Democratic Senators Warnock and John Ossoff and to hand over power to Biden instead of former President Donald Trump in 2020, Loeffler said it happened . its ability to effectively organize and finance mass ground-based voter mobilization.

“When we looked at the landscape after the 2020 cycle, I saw a lack of organization and activity on the ground. Now a huge number of people participated in the mobilization,” she said.

“But what we need is organization. And this is what we saw. The representation of the left was not just mass funding, but also a large-scale game on the ground, the mobilization of contacts with voters. And so I decided to repeat it after I left the Senate in 2021. to make sure that what happened to us in 2020 never happens again in this state,” she added.

Loeffler explained that she was referring not only to mobilization on Election Day, but to building the same infrastructure outside of an Election Year—in this case, during 2023, with an eye to 2024.

She stressed that while Georgia still remains a red state in terms of values and electoral success in the medium term, it was also “vital” to recognize it as the “canary in the coal mine” for the rest of the country due to changing electorate. and the need to reach these new constituencies.

“We’ve seen trends emerge, whether it’s young voters, more diverse voters, or independent voters. And we need to have the infrastructure and reach to do that persuasion, mobilize, register, and then get them involved in the 2024 elections. ,” she said.

Loeffler said one of the biggest takeaways from the overall success of the Georgia Republicans in 2022 was that the Greater Georgia proved that the ground game could overcome the Democrats’ “money wall” pouring in from the blue states, a challenge also faced by the Republicans in other battlefield states.

She later added that Republicans around the world could benefit from using the data to reach potential voters as much as possible.

“We need to figure out where these collection fields are, where the voters are who can be persuaded, and whether we are reaching them. Are they registered? Are they active? Do they vote? And what can we do to convince them?” Loeffler said.
