Fort Worth man charged with several other robberies after shooting dog during robbery
FORT WORTH, Texas – Fort Worth police said a man wanted for shooting and killing a dog during a store robbery earlier this month was responsible for a string of armed robberies.
Police identified the suspect as 18-year-old Donavin Copeland.
He is wanted for at least four armed robberies in Fort Worth and Saginaw.
Authorities released additional images of the suspect.
They said he shot the clerk and stole the clerk’s car during one of the robberies last month.

Police said he did the same on January 2 when he shot and killed a clerk’s dog, pointed a gun at her, and stole her truck.
Police have detailed several other crimes Copeland is accused of, including the November attack on the White Settlement Motel and evading arrest in October.
