Grand Prairie, Texas – Grand Prairie police are asking for public’s help in identifying and locating the driver involved in Friday’s hit-and-run leaving one person dead.
According to the authorities, officers responded at the scene to the 2300 block of West Main Street at approximately 11 p.m. on Friday.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found one female victim struck by a vehicle on the side of the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The initial investigation about the incident showed that the victim was trying to cross the road on a crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle that failed to stop on a red light and struck the pedestrian.
Right after the incident, the driver fled the scene leaving the victim injured.
The local police learned that the victim was struck by a black vehicle that is probably damaged to the front driver’s side of the car.
The police didn’t provide license plate number or any other additional details.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 911 or file anonymous report at 972-988-8477.
Grand Prairie Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for any information leading to the arrest of the driver.
