Shooter charged with fatal Bronx shooting, NYPD says

The gunman, who police said was 17 when he pulled the trigger, has been charged with murdering another man on a Bronx street.

The shooter, whose name has not been released because he was a minor when the crime was committed, opened fire on Elijah Dukuray on the night of November 24 at E. 223rd and Bronxwood Avenue in Wakefield, police said. The suspect was 18 years of age after the crime.

NYPD 47th Precinct detectives search for clues at the scene of a shooting in front of 900E 233rd Street near Bronxwood Avenue on the evening of Thanksgiving, November 24, 2022.

Doctors took the victim, who was wounded in the neck, to the Jacobi Medical Center, but they could not save him.

Four days later, the NYPD released photos of the vehicle associated with the shooting.

Police have released CCTV footage of a car that authorities believe was involved in the murder of a man in the Bronx.

The suspect, however, was not arrested until Thursday, when he turned himself in and was charged with murder, manslaughter and possession of a weapon.
