Second guardian of missing 4-year-old Athena Brownfield arrested in Arizona.

CYRIL, Oklahoma (CBSDFW.COM) — A second caretaker has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of four-year-old Athena Brownfield, the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation said Friday.

Brownfield was reported missing Wednesday after a mail carrier found her five-year-old sister asking herself outside their caretakers’ home. Officials describe her as being one meter tall, weighing 45 pounds, with light brown hair and blue eyes.

Alicia was arrested Thursday at the Grady County Sheriff’s office on two counts of child neglect, officials said. Ivon was arrested the same day in Arizona and is currently in the Maricopa County Jail awaiting extradition to Oklahoma.

Brownfield and her sister were in the couple’s care when she went missing.

To help find the girl, Kirill’s garbage collection service has been suspended and analysts are currently reviewing CCTV footage from around the city.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Emergency Response Team also completed a network search with local volunteers, and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs flew its drones over the community.

Anyone with information on the location of Brownfield is asked to call the OSBI helpline at 800-522-8017 or send an email to [email protected].
