Savannah Crisley Reveals The First Time She Saw Father Todd Chrisley In Jail

Savannah Chrisley spoke about the “strange” experience of visiting her father Todd Chrisley in prison for the first time, saying she was taken aback by his unkempt hair.

On Tuesday episode of her Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley podcast., The 25-year-old said she didn’t expect to see her father swap out his signature blonde locks for gray.

“I will say that it is very strange to see him with gray hair,” she admitted. “How, really weird. He has definitely used some colors over the years and now sees him with gray hair. I’m like, “Oh my God!”

Savannah, who was left to raise her brother Grayson, 16, and niece Chloe, 10, while her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley are serving their respective terms, said she has “so many hopes” for the future after visiting her parents for lattice.

“I have never felt the presence of Jesus more than in that visiting room,” she said. “Even when I visit my father, I know that I have so much hope and so much strength that I think: “This is not the end yet.”

“And I know they go through what they go through for us to change, for us to change,” she continued. “Because whether that appeal works or not, they’re still publishing the story.”

Savannah also explained her mom’s newfound living conditions, arguing that the prison has better conditions for service dogs than for inmates.

“My mother is in an institution where there is no air, but nevertheless, there are service dogs in the prison who are in a heated and cooled building, because the absence of air is inhumane for them,” she said.

“I read the decree that [President Joe] Biden signed that all federal prisoners must be housed in environmentally friendly facilities. And I’m like, “Okay, well, that’s the exact opposite of that.”

In November, Chrisley was sentenced to 19 years in prison for fraud and tax evasion.

Todd, 53, began his 12-year sentence at Pensacola Federal Penitentiary last month, and Julie, 50, spends the next seven years in two-and-a-half hours at Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp Marianne.

She will also serve 16 months of probation after her release from prison.
