Savannah Chrisley ‘never forgets’ parents’ faces after conviction

Savannah Chrisley said the look on her parents’ faces after the guilty verdict was announced is something she “will never forget.”

Appearing Tuesday on the Off The Vine With Kaitlyn Bristowe podcast, the Chrisley Knows Best star recalled the moment her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted of fraud and tax evasion.

“I will never forget the moment I sat in this courtroom every day for a four-week trial,” she said. “And it took three days for the verdict to be delivered.”

“I’ll never forget when they got up to read the sentences and it was like ‘guilty, guilty, guilty’ over and over again.”

“And I just saw the look on my parents’ faces and everything, they were just in tears. We didn’t expect it, we thought, “No way,” Savannah added.

Savannah, who was left to raise her brother Grayson, 16, and niece Chloe, 10, believes her parents are “100%” innocent and said she plans to appeal the verdict this month.

“I hope this appeal will show these things because the judge never heard us in evidence,” she added.

Even though Savannah stayed to raise her siblings, she said she has no hard feelings towards her mom and dad.

“I know what they did and what they didn’t do. I know witch hunt. When the government needs someone, they want someone,” Savannah Chrisley said.

“They will do their best to make everything look the way they want. There is no resentment.”

It hasn’t been all smooth sailing at home for Savannah, as she recently revealed she had a “total breakdown” when trying to take care of Grayson and Chloe.

“I had a complete breakdown last night,” she said on her Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley podcast last month.

“I was trying to find the right clothes for Chloe to go visit my parents and find her hair. I just sat on the floor and started crying.”

“I am not my mother. How will I do it? I don’t feel like I’m worthy or capable of doing the job she’s done all her life,” she added.

In November, Chrisley was sentenced to 19 years in prison for fraud and tax evasion.

Todd, 53, began his 12-year term at Pensacola Federal Penitentiary in January, and Julie, 50, spends the next seven years in two-and-a-half hours at Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp Marianne.

She will also serve 16 months of probation after her release from prison.
