Rapper Travis Scott to appear for questioning in Manhattan nightclub assault case next week: NYPD sources

Rapper Travis Scott will face early morning attack music at a midnight Manhattan nightclub next week, Daily News has learned.

The Astroworld performer has agreed to meet with NYPD detectives early next week about a Wednesday morning brawl at the Nebula Club on West 41st Street near Broadway. Scott is accused of punching a 52-year-old sound engineer and damaging the victim’s equipment.

After the club brawl, Scott left town and is currently in California, according to a police source. His representatives helped arrange for his return to New York for questioning the following week.

According to the police, he was charged with hooliganism and hooliganism.

The “Tallest in the Room” rapper was at the club around 2am when he had an argument with the sound engineer.

According to police, during an argument, Scott allegedly punched the engineer in the face, as a result of which he received a minor injury. He also tore a video screen and broke a speaker, causing $12,000 in damages, police said.

Scott appeared on rapper Don Tolliver’s show at Irving Plaza on Tuesday night and then appeared at the Nebula Club.

In November 2021, 31-year-old Scott organized and led the deadly Astroworld music festival that killed nine people at NRG Park in Houston.

Since then, the nine-time Grammy nominee – and father of kids Kylie Jenner – has been rebounding through various career pursuits. He also witnessed growing legal problems due to lawsuits from concert goers who were injured at the concert.

In May, Scott performed at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards backed by host and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs. He also performed at Rolling Loud in Miami last month and was announced as a performer at the Primavera Sound Festival in South America in November.

In September, he had a residence in Las Vegas.
