Off-duty NYPD police officers arrested for drunk driving, leaving the scene of an accident on separate occasions.

Two NYPD police officers were arrested Saturday in separate traffic accidents, one charged with drunk driving and the other for leaving the scene of an accident.

Officer Nerys Ramirez, 40, was pulled over around 4:45 a.m. Saturday on Harlem River Drive and Dyckman Street in Inwood. She showed signs of intoxication but refused to take a blood alcohol test, police said.

She was brought before Manhattan Criminal Court on Saturday and released without bail.

Later Saturday, at 7:10 p.m., duty officer Jonathan Altamirano, 33, was arrested on charges that he left the scene of the accident with an injury. An NYPD spokeswoman described the accident as an accident that had occurred earlier that day on Roosevelt Avenue near Junction Boulevard. in the Crown.

Altamirano fled the scene without giving the other driver his information and was arrested the same day, police said.
