NYPD releases photo of fourth suspect in subway beating of Fox News meteorologist

Police have released a photo of a fourth suspect in the brutal subway beating of Fox News meteorologist Adam Klotz, who revealed in a new interview how the brutal team incited each other to “put him to sleep.”

A security camera image released by the NYPD on Monday evening shows a young man wearing a black jacket and light-colored sweater. The suspect is still at large and is believed to be involved in Saturday’s brutal attack on 37-year-old Klotz on the No. 1 train south near 18th Street.

The three suspects, two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old, were arrested shortly after the attack and later released, police said.

“This whole group comes and jumps on me and jumps on me and just starts hitting and kicking me,” Klotz recalled in an interview Monday night with Fox News host Tucker Carlson. “I hear: ‘Sleep him, put him to sleep, put him to sleep, put him to sleep.’ They wanted to knock me out.

“And my goal at that moment is just to cover my head, because when you pass out, who knows what will happen?” added the meteorologist, whose face was still bruised from the attack. “And I was able to avoid it, but I was kicked up and down the side, sort of trampled. They sure got their licks.”

Klotz said the mayhem began when he was walking home after watching a Giants game at a bar with friends.

According to him, he felt compelled to intervene when he witnessed the brigade setting fire to the elder’s hair.

“A group of, I would say, seven teenagers, one started lighting a joint, and with the lighter still in hand, just held the lighter up to the older man’s hair and it exploded like a matchbox,” Klotz said. . “The whole head was on fire. And the guy will knock him out [hair]”.

“I just sat and watched, and how can you not [intervene]? Klotz recalled. “[I said]”Wow, you guys can’t do that.” And then they just didn’t want to be told what they could or couldn’t do. So all of a sudden all the attention was on me.”

The suspects asked him if he had a problem before Klotz repeated, “You can’t do that,” he said.

According to the weatherman, one of them chuckled, “Try to stop me.”

“So I caught a left, a pretty good left [that] sort of pressed his head against the wall again,” Klotz said.

Klotz said he moved to another car, thinking the worst was over, but the same group found him and attacked him again soon after.

The three young thugs, who have already been released with “juvenile statements,” can only face charges if Klotz files a complaint with the city’s probation department, which then decides whether the case goes to the legal department, officials said Sunday.

The juvenile reports they were given are given to juveniles who allegedly committed an act that could have constituted a crime had it been committed by an adult.

However, on Monday, police said they were now questioning the elderly man, who was allegedly molested at first by teenagers, and that he could still file charges against the rowdy crew.

“The solution was to get all the information before moving on,” NYPD Deputy Chief Kevin Maloney told The Post. “The decision was made to turn them over to their parents and make efforts to identify the other victim, which we did.”

“We are now talking to him to see if there are relevant allegations,” Maloney said. “They can be issued tickets to appear in family court.”

Asked by Fox & Friends earlier Monday if he would press charges, Klotz was noncommittal.

“I want someone to be held accountable, but what I really want is some change. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else, and I don’t think these kids alone will necessarily get in trouble,” he said. — For example, where are the structural elements?

“I want Eric Adams to do something more long-term so this doesn’t happen to someone else, more than I just get my revenge in the short term,” he said.
