Man shot dead in Brooklyn apartment building during domestic altercation: police

Police sources said a man was fatally shot in a Brooklyn apartment building early Saturday morning during a domestic altercation that turned fatal.

Police officers were called to the building on Lexington Avenue near Marcy Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 5:40 am, where they found the 46-year-old victim on the second floor with several gunshot wounds to his body.

The shooter fled on foot.

An ambulance took the victim to Woodhull Hospital, where he died. His name has not been released as police are looking for family members.

The building where the shooting took place is part of the Louis Armstrong House, owned by the New York City Housing Authority, police said.

No arrests were made.
