Man rushed to Manhattan hospital dies of gunshot wound

Police said a man with a gunshot wound died Sunday after being abandoned at a hospital in Manhattan.

The victim, whose identity police are still trying to identify, was taken to Harlem Hospital on Lenox Avenue near 136th Street in Harlem around 5:15 p.m., police said.

He was wounded in the chest.

The medical staff of the hospital failed to save the man.

There were no immediate arrests.
