Man left Marjorie Taylor Green a threatening voice message and dared to accuse her – he made one colossal mistake

A New Yorker who left multiple threatening messages on the voicemail of Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green of Georgia in 2022 has pleaded guilty to the charges against him.

According to Business Insider, the man who called gave his name and left his phone number.

Joseph Morelli, 51, of Endicott, New York, pleaded guilty Wednesday, according to a Justice Department press release.

According to the affidavit used to prosecute Morelli, in March 2022, he made seven calls to Green’s Washington office over the course of two days.

“Yeah, I just don’t think I can continue to let you incite hatred and poison people. I really think that I will have to harm you – physical harm. You run ads where you blow up a car and you just… I don’t know if I can link you to someone who commits suicide, like a transgender person, directly to you,” the statement said.

I will have to take your life into my own hands. Yes, I would very, very warn you not to harm someone else because of your malice. You are just a terrible person,” the sworn letter says.

“You know, you can file charges and we can go to court,” he said, adding that this would allow him to say “how bad you are for humanity. You’re a bunch of shit, and if you continue this hate and people get hurt, I’ll hurt you. Physically, I will harm you.

The affidavit stated that during another conversation, Morelli began by leaving his name and phone number.

Then he said: “Major, whatever your name is, redneck, you promote violence, and I think, as a true patriot, humanist and person, I should show you, like your face, right in front of you, what violence really is and I don’t think you’ll like it.

Should Morelli be in jail?

“I can pay someone 500 bucks to take a baseball bat and crush your skull,” the sworn letter says.

“Keep spreading that hate, bitch. Look what the hell is happening to you. You’re gonna hurt like hell physically. Keep saying that shit, bitch.”

A Department of Justice press release states that during another call, Morelli said, “I’ll make sure that even if they put me in jail, someone grabs you because I’ll pay them.”

According to the affidavit, law enforcement was threatened if they would respond to any complaint about the calls.

Green told The New York Post that Morelli was treated better than the participants in the Capitol invasion.

“The man pleaded guilty to planning to kill me or paying someone to do it. Now he is at home, he can do it while waiting for the verdict. But the guy who sat at the Pelosi table is facing 20 years, and the people who entered the Capitol on J6 are rotting in jail until trial,” Greene said.

“The press keeps asking me about threats against a member of the House of Representatives. [Ilhan] Omar, but none of them knew about this guilty plea for threatening my life. Several people who wanted to kill me were arrested, but the media in the District of Columbia does not report this, ”Green said. “It’s two-tier justice and two-tier lighting.”

A Justice Department release said Morelli could face up to five years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of probation.
