Some of New York’s most famous venues recently hosted a Chinese official who called the ruling Chinese Communist Party “great” and dismissed reports of China’s systematic persecution of minorities as “lies.”

Huang Ping, who has served as Consul General of the Chinese Consulate in New York since 2018, appeared at Barclays Center, Nasdaq MarketSite and the Empire State Building last week, talking to prominent American business leaders at every stop.

The Brooklyn Nets NBA club, which plays at the Barclays in Brooklyn, celebrated the Chinese New Year of the Rabbit on Thursday. Huang walked onto the basketball court, where he briefly spoke and received a sweater and a toy rabbit as a gift from Sam Zussman, CEO of Nets parent company BSE Global.

However, Huang backed McQuee’s hospitality, saying that China would reach its “destination” and “share the fruits” with everyone.

When previously contacted by the Chinese consulate in New York for comment, it echoed Huang’s comments, telling Fox News Digital that “the Xinjiang issue is not about human rights” and that “a thousand-fold lie is nothing but a lie.”
