Gunman shoots man in face near Queens Park: cops

Police said a man was shot in the face in Queens Friday night.

The mysterious shooter pulled the trigger on his 37-year-old male victim around 8 p.m. at 130th Street and 9th Avenue at College Point, an intersection that is at the entrance to Powell Cove Park.

A man with a single gunshot wound was taken to Booth Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

The shooter, who was described only as a man, fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
