City Council candidate’s dark past: He spent time in jail for his part in the 2020 chaos

A man who served time behind bars for his role in the summer 2020 riots is now running for Seattle City Council.

In June 2020, during the chaos that followed the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Isaiah Willoughby, 36, set fire to the Seattle Police East Precinct, which the US said was located in the infamous “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone.” Prosecutor’s office. He then pleaded guilty to federal arson charges against him.

According to The Post Millenial, he was subsequently sentenced in October 2021 to two years in prison for his part in the chaos, combined with three years of probation for his role in the chaos. He was released in March 2022.

Now he has filed papers to run from Seattle’s second district for a seat on the city council.

The Post Millenial notes that he previously ran for City Council in District 1 in 2019 but withdrew from the race ahead of the August primary.

The first thing to note about this is how bad it looks to the left eye. One of the main theories of the left these days is that Republican politicians and voters are dangerous “rebels” who want to overthrow the Constitution.

It has been one of their favorite topics since the events of January 6, 2021, and has been a major part of left-wing rhetoric ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.

Should Willoughby be allowed to hold the post?

But now we have a real leftist rebel, someone who set fire to a police station as part of an act of rebellion against the rule of law in America, who is running for public office, and no one on the left can say anything about it.

It is clear that the Left’s fear-mongering of the conservative “rebels” is simply a way for them to earn cheap political points, especially since they ignore the insurgents in their ranks.

But there is also the fact that it is foolish for the people of Seattle to trust the running of their city to someone like Willoughby who was involved in these lawless activities.

Yes, it’s true that Seattle residents are free to choose who they want to serve on the city council. But they must remember that elections have consequences and you get what you vote for.

Seattle is no stranger to this, as for years it has elected politicians on the left who have constantly attacked the police to promote revival programs.

As a result of this madness, Seattle became almost uninhabitable as crime soared to unprecedented levels.

It’s not just Seattle that’s facing this, however, as liberal cities across the country are reaping the fruits of years of elected officials’ reluctance to enforce the law.

However, these people are simply unwilling to enforce the law, imagine what it would be like if someone in the city government made a name for themselves by actually breaking the law.

Here’s what’s in store for the people of Seattle if they elect Isaiah Willoughby to the city council. If you pick someone who doesn’t respect the rule of law at all, then don’t be surprised if there’s more crime in the city.

Until the left stops promoting politicians who are either unwilling to enforce the law or are actively breaking the law themselves, the problem of crime in our cities will not be solved anytime soon.
