CEO Conference 2023 Brings together Public and Private Sector Leaders to Discuss Monetary, Economic and Fiscal Policy
Over 20 panels were presented during the two-day event, with attendees including Finance Minister Fernando Haddad; Central Bank President Roberto Campos Neto; President of the Chamber of Deputies Arthur Lira; Senate President Rodrigo Pacheco and top executives who discussed Brazil’s investment outlook and macroeconomic issues
On February 14 and 15, key business and political leaders gathered for the 24th CEO Conference hosted by BTG Pactual, the largest investment bank in Latin America. Over the course of two days, the 23 panels of the event discussed major issues and trends in the economy, politics and technology for Brazil, bringing together over 50 representatives such as BTG Pactual Chairman and Senior Partner Andre Esteves; Brazilian finance and justice ministers Fernando Haddad and Flavio Dino, respectively; President of the Chamber of Deputies Arthur Lira; President of the Senate Rodrigo Pacheco; and Brazilian Central Bank President Roberto Campos Neto.
“Our intention through the CEO Conference is to help investors, financial agents, public administrators and the public get a clearer idea of what to expect from the Brazilian economy and more predictability of the monetary and fiscal policies adopted. We want everyone to have the necessary trust to keep investing and thus increasingly create more jobs, income and taxes that make our country more prosperous and inclusive,” he said. In total, 50,000 people followed the program online, another 2,000 guests and representatives of 180 companies were present at the site, where more than 2,000 business meetings with investors also took place. In line with BTG Pactual’s social responsibility guidelines, the CEO Conference has become a carbon neutral event. All used decorations are turned into furniture and toys for donation to non-governmental organizations. In addition, during the conference, products were offered by small businesses run by women entrepreneurs who attended management development seminars conducted by the bank’s social responsibility area.
