The investigation comes after racist graffiti was found in middle and high schools in Fort Worth.

The incidents occurred at Chisholm Trail High School and Ed Willkie High School, which are both part of ISD Eagle Mountain-Saginaw.

Fort Worth, Texas. Eagle Mountain Saginaw Independent School District police are investigating incidents of racist graffiti found at two schools on Monday.

According to a letter sent to parents from school officials, racist messages were found in the yard of Chisholm Trail High School and on the walkway in front of Ed Wilkie High School.

Both schools are located in northwest Fort Worth, but they are part of the Eagle Mountain Saginaw School District.

“This act of vandalism alone is alarming, but the content of the graffiti is even more disappointing, as it mentions derogatory remarks against several different ethnic groups,” the school administration said in a letter.

The letter to Chisholm Trail’s parents also stated that one of the messages contained a threat, but the county police determined that this was not credible.

Images posted on social media show racist messages written on the ground near schools and even on a brick wall. Crews quickly removed the graffiti on Monday morning, the county said.

Eagle Mountain Saginaw School District Police are currently investigating the source of the vandalism, with officers reviewing security cameras covering campus areas.

“Persons found guilty will be arrested and subject to legal consequences,” the letter says. “Part of what makes our community great is our diversity. We will not tolerate anything that makes our campus uncomfortable for any child.”

Anyone who may have information about the vandalism is strongly encouraged to contact the county via the “Let’s Talk” button on the website or provide details to Crime Stopper or Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD Police at 817-847-2999.
