Angry mob attacked and stabbed a Queens man

A man was hospitalized after he was attacked by a group of people who repeatedly stabbed him, police said on Thursday.

The 19-year-old victim was leaving an apartment building at the corner of 80th Street and Myrtle Avenue in Glendale on Wednesday when five people attacked him around 8:30 p.m., police said.

The brigade stabbed and punched him several times until a friend, also aged 19, intervened and tried to take the knife from one of the attackers.

A friend cut his finger while trying to get the blade, and the crowd ran away.

Medics took the man with stab wounds to a hospital in Jamaica in a stable condition.

Police were still investigating a motive Thursday evening.

The police are looking for the bandits and are asking the public for help in finding them.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
