VIDEO: Brooklyn jewelry store worker injured when armed robber opens fire
A worker at a jewelry store in Brooklyn was hit by a bullet when an armed robber opened fire during a botched robbery, a startling video released by the NYPD on Monday.
The scammer broke into A&M Jewelry on Fifth Avenue near 48th Street in Sunset Park around 1:55 p.m. Sunday, police said, with a gun at the ready and gesturing to a worker behind the counter, police said.
He fired, breaking a shop window and injuring a worker, before running empty-handed towards 49th Street, as seen in the video.
Medics took the 24-year-old worker to NYU Langon Hospital in Brooklyn in a stable condition.
The shooter was not caught.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and searching for him.
