TID mechanic looks at the Jamaican market with Van Damme

Kingston, Jamaica – Trinidadian recording artist Mechanic TID is keen to visit Jamaica to shoot a video for their new single. ‘Van Damme’. The single, produced by Vaun Pro, is a mixture of dancehall and hip hop, with references to various aspects of Jamaican dancehall culture. The song, which was released back in December 2022, has gone viral on several underground platforms as the artist aims to make it popular.

‘Van Damme’ can be described as dental floss song. It has ‘confident’, ‘feel good’ an energy that makes you want to dance and it also pays homage to several Jamaican dancers. “Van Damme is the expression of a comfortable lifestyle. It is inspired by the culture of the Jamaican dancehall and helps to forget about any negative situation and look forward to the future.” said the TID mechanic.

The artist has signed a contract with Pivotal Entertainment and plans to visit Jamaica in mid-March. He will film a video for the single with several Jamaican dancers, some of whom he references in the song.

He shared “Jamaica is rich in talent. Dances from Jamaica are loved all over the world and their dances have an impact on the world. Van Damme acknowledges this.”.

Mechanic TID is inspired by the legendary Bob Marley as well as lyrical icons such as Jay Z and J.Cole. He is best known for singles such as “Don Dada 4Ever” (Tribute to Louis Rankin) “Island Boy”And ‘Zess’. In 2018, he met recording artist Prince Pronto and merged ‘trap’ And ‘juice’ together, touring Saint Martin in 2018 and 2019.
