Sam Cooke, also known as Mister Soul, is considered the pioneer of what we now know as soul music. His songs such as “You Send Me” and “(What a) Wonderful World” will be inspired by musician Bradd Marquis. The performance starts Friday at 20:00 at the Eisemann Center in Richardson.

Pinchas Zuckerman at the Meyerson Symphony Center
The Dallas Symphony calls Pinchas Zuckerman “one of the most sought-after and versatile musicians of our time. Parents’ Party at the Fort Worth Zoo

Black Cowboys: An American History
This free exhibit sheds light on the rich history of black cowboys and their impact on Texas and American history. It includes more than 50 artifacts, photographs, documents, and films celebrating the lives and work of numerous black men, women, and children, enslaved and free, who worked on Texas ranches and drove cattle around the turn of the century. . It opens Sunday and runs until April 15 at the Dallas African American Museum in Fair Park.
