Thief caught stuffing clothes with $560 worth of meat
ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – Arlington police have arrested a man who walked out of a grocery store with $560 worth of meat hidden in his clothes.
Police later identified the man as 53-year-old Donald Hicks. They arrested him when he allegedly tried to escape on an electric scooter.
The department shared a photo of his booty on Facebook and asked, “Stocking up for the Super Bowl? We think this guy had the wrong idea.”
The photo shows a shopping cart filled with family packs of beef sausage, ground meat, bacon, and large portions of packaged meats.
All stolen products were seized.
Police said Hicks had a felony warrant for theft. He is currently in Arlington City Jail.
