“I can confirm that the Department of Defense has been monitoring a high-altitude object over Alaska airspace for the past 24 hours. The object was flying at an altitude of 40,000 feet and posed a real threat to the safety of civilian flights. An abundance of caution and advice from the Pentagon, President Biden ordered the military to shoot down the facility. And they did. And he entered our territorial waters,” Kirby said.
