‘The Masked Singer’: Rock Lobster and Night Owl Revealed

Next last week exciting season 9 premiere “The Masked Singer” fans, unfortunately, had to say goodbye to two more competitors once again.

Rock Lobster and Night Owl said goodbye to The Masked Singer stage on Wednesday night, and you might have guessed (or not) who was underneath those insanely embellished costumes.

The badass crustacean turned out to be none other than comedian and Emmy-nominated host Howie Mandel.

Mandel is no stranger to competition show judging, having been a panelist on America’s Got Talent since 2010.

Mandel also enjoyed a reunion with former AGT host Nick Cannon.

“I miss you, buddy!” Mandel said to Cannon, removing his huge lobster head.

When asked why he chose to enter the singing competition, Mandel said it was because he missed Cannon.

“First of all, I love you buddy and I miss you and I wanted to be here with you,” Mandel said. “Secondly, when you watch this show, it’s fun. And I just wanted to have fun, and the truth is that I sing and dance. I dance on TikTok.”

“We love you, Howie, we all know you, and you are loved not only on stage, but also outside of it. You are amazing,” said panelist Nicole Scherzinger.

Mandel joked that everything seems to be the opposite, as he is used to being a judge and not being judged.

And 80s kids probably had a field day when Night Owl turned out to be iconic singer-songwriter Debbie Gibson.

Panelist Jenny McCarthy managed to guess that Gibson was the Night Owl, and Gibson was not surprised.

“Yes, she had it. I said if anyone gets it, it will be Jenny,” Gibson said.

Gibson shared that the decision to come to the show was made at the last minute.

“I was returning from New York. I was boarding a plane when my manager texted me: “Someone may be sick and cannot perform on the show. Tomorrow you need to be in Los Angeles.” So I came in late tonight and I’m so glad I could be here with you guys tonight,” Gibson said.

The 80s pop star also shared that the day before she flew back to Los Angeles to compete in The Masked Singer, it was one year since her mother died.

“My mom said, ‘Girl, get back to work,’” Gibson joked.

“Not many people, Debbie, can just come in here and do it. It’s a testament to your incredible talent,” Jenny said. “You are a great actor.”
