Texas residents arrested near the Mexican border after a police officer found illegal immigrants in the trunk of a car

Authorities said Saturday that three Texas men were arrested near the Mexican border after a serviceman stopped their vehicle and found two migrants crammed into the trunk of a car.

A serviceman stopped traffic on U.S. Route 277 in Val Verde County on Wednesday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

During a conversation with the driver, the policeman asked if there was anyone in the trunk of the car. The driver does not respond to the bodycam video released by the department.

The policeman handcuffed the driver and talked to two passengers inside the car. As the passengers got out of the car, the video shows both trying to escape into the desert.
