Suspect found and arrested by police 25 minutes after Centereach bank robbery

Suffolk County Police arrested a Middle Island man who robbed the Centereach Bank on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

Ralph William Dominguez entered the M&T Bank located at 1919 Middle Country Road and handed a bank clerk a note demanding cash. The employee complied, and Dominguez escaped on foot at approximately 3:20 pm.

Approximately 25 minutes later, a man matching his description was found by Precinct Six patrol officers in the parking lot at 1740 Middle Country Road, Centereach. He was taken into custody and charged with robbery in the 3rd degree, a felony.

Dominguez, 65, of 21 Winterberry Drive, will spend the night in the Sixth Precinct and face trial in the Central Island First District Court on Feb. 1.
