Police investigation in San Angelo leads to multiple arrests

The SAPD Crime Squad was conducting surveillance at a local hotel for the two wanted men.

SAN ANGELO, Texas. On Wednesday, SAPD Crime Squad officers monitored two wanted men, 36-year-old Macario Perales and 41-year-old Cristina Yuresti, at a local hotel. loading items from the vehicle to the U-Haul trailer.

Officers approached Yuresti and Perales to take them into custody in connection with outstanding warrants. During the investigation, it was discovered that Perales was in possession of some of the suspected cocaine. Officers also found a revolver inside a vehicle within sight.

According to a SAPD press release, officers identified a possible cause for the U-Haul car and trailer and were able to tie items inside related to a burglary in the 2800 block of Southland that had not yet been reported theft.

It was revealed that a 2022 Ford Bronco was also hijacked at the time of the home robbery report. The owner was able to locate the car using GPS and it was located in the 3800 block of Arden Road, and the officers were able to return most of the stolen property to the rightful owner.

Macario Perales and Cristina Yuresti were taken to the Tom Green County Jail. Perales was charged with fabricating a shipment of a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance, and detaining Marshall in the United States.

Yuresti was arrested for credit or debit card abuse, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substances, possession or delivery of drug paraphernalia, and contempt of court.

Additional allegations are pending and the results of this ongoing investigation are pending.
