NYC dominatrix lawyer tries to find holes in poison cheesecake victim’s story

Lawyers for Russian-born dominatrix Victoria Nasyrova, who is accused of trying to kill her doppelgänger with a piece of poisoned cheesecake, tried on Tuesday to argue that the case was half done.

Nasyrova’s lawyer questioned the prosecution’s main witness, alleged victim Olga Zvik, about her testimony in Queens Supreme Court on Monday that her former friend offered her the tainted piece – only after he had first swallowed the other two.

An eyelash stylist told jurors that Nasyrova came to her home in Forest Hills, Queens in August 2016 under the pretense of an emergency visit to the doctor.

She said Nasyrova “ate one and then immediately another, very quickly” before offering her a third, which prosecutors allege was laced with the potent Russian tranquilizer Phenazepane.

But on Tuesday, defense attorney Christopher Hoyt sought to find holes in Zwick’s story, alleging that she initially told an NYPD detective that she herself “choose one of those three pieces of cheesecake and ate it.”

“No, that’s not true,” Zwick protested during cross-examination.

Victoria Nasyrova was tried in Queens Supreme Court for trying to kill her doppelgänger friend with a poisoned cheesecake in 2016 to steal her identity.

Hoyt also bombarded the alleged victim with questions about the cheesecake consumption schedule.

When asked how long it took Nasyrova to swallow the first bite, Zwick replied: “One minute, I think.”

“So without offering you a cheesecake, she’s eating the second slice right in front of you, right?” Hoyt continued.

Zwick replied, “Yes.”

“After she ate both slices of cheesecake, there was only one slice left, right?” Hoyt said, to which Zwick said, “Yes.”

Zwick previously testified that she became “very ill” about 20 minutes after she ate dessert.

“I started looking to lie down on the bed. I started looking for a pillow. I realized that I was losing consciousness, and I told her: “Vika, I feel very bad.” I started to feel very nauseous. I wanted to vomit. I started throwing up right next to my bed on the floor,” Zwick told jurors on Monday.

“I told her, Vika, I’m about to vomit.” She said, “Don’t worry about it. I’ll clean it up. I remember she went to the bathroom and came back with the Bounty.”

Zwick said the next thing she remembers is waking up in the hospital.

Prosecutors allege the Russian native masterminded the poisoning plot in a twisted attempt to steal her doppelgänger’s identity by snatching her passport, $3,000 in cash and other possessions – and even attempting to make it look like a suicide attempt by scattering pills around Zwick’s underwear-clad body. .

Nasyrova, who is also wanted in Russia for killing her neighbor in 2014, previously claimed to The Post from Rikers Island that the cheesecake ordeal was just a misunderstanding.

“The last time I saw Olga, she was already unwell – she said that she either ate something or got poisoned,” Nasyrova said then.

She faces up to 25 years in prison if found guilty of attempted murder, burglary and other charges.
