Man’s body found off Long Island two weeks after he apparently fell off boat

The body of a Queens man has been recovered off the coast of Long Island — two weeks after police said he apparently fell overboard while working on a boat.

Pierre Morris, 45, from Far Rockaway, was found dead off of Smith Point County Park in Shirley around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

Investigators said Morris, an employee of H&L Contracting in Hauppauge, vanished Nov. 18 while doing work on a boat at the Smith Point Marina in Shirley.

A co-worker reported Morris missing after 3 p.m. the same day.

It is believed Morris’ death was the result of a fall into the water.
