Man killed by gunshot in northeast Las Vegas

After a man was found dead in his garage, police launched an investigation at an apartment complex in the northeast Las Vegas Valley.

It happened on a Friday just after 4 p.m. in the 2000 Los Feliz block, which is close to Lake Mead Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevard.

According to the police, when the officers arrived at the scene, they found a man in his 40s who had been shot dead and tried to save his life. After that, he was transferred to a nearby hospital, but there he died from his injuries.

A preliminary investigation by Metropolitan Police indicates that prior to the incident, the two boys were seen walking around the complex and were later seen in the garage area. This information was provided by the Metropolitan Police.

Shortly thereafter, witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing the man flee the scene.

Lieutenant Jason Johansson said officers were able to locate a person of interest nearby who was linked to the event.

As of Friday evening, police said they have no information on what led to the event.
