Autistic Teen Reported Missing, Authorities Launch Search

SELMA, Texas — In an ongoing search effort, the Live Oak Police Department has confirmed that they are currently looking for 17-year-old Aiden Heidenreich. Aiden was last seen on a neon orange BMX bike at 5 a.m. on Friday morning. He was spotted wearing a grey jacket, maroon/red backpack, blue jeans, and black converse shoes.

Described as 5’9″ tall and weighing approximately 137 pounds, Aiden has brown eyes and short brown hair in a military-style haircut. Notably, he is missing fingertips on his right hand and usually keeps his right hand in his pocket. Aiden also faces additional challenges, as he is autistic and has Asperger’s.

The search for Aiden has led authorities to discover his bike’s tire tracks along the railroad tracks behind Retama Springs in Selma. His concerned father, along with the police, is actively searching for him in that area. If anyone has any information regarding Aiden’s whereabouts, they are urged to call or text 805-291-3837 or 805-717-7534.
