Lotto Texas jackpot on Monday was the biggest prize in 12 years

There was no winner in Saturday’s $47.25 million draw. Lotto Texas jackpot, bringing the largest advertised jackpot in the state lottery in over 12 years even increased to around $48 million on Monday night.

Monday’s draw offers an estimated cash value of $28.27 million.

If someone wins Monday night and chooses the cash value option, they will pay approximately $7,065,500 in federal taxes and take home approximately $21,202,500. Texas lottery winners do not pay state tax on lottery winnings.

If there is no jackpot winner for the Monday night Lotto Texas draw, the jackpot for the draw on Wednesday, March 1st will be approximately $48.75 million.

Saturday’s annuity jackpot was the third largest in North America and the fourth largest in the world at the time of the draw. In North America, Lotto Texas only eclipsed $131 million on Monday. Powerball jackpot and $145 million on Tuesday Mega Millions jackpot.

Monday’s draw is the 70th in the current Lotto Texas jackpot draw since the start of the draw, which took place on September 19 and is valued at $5 million.

This is the largest Lotto Texas jackpot awarded since the draw on May 29, 2010, when the announced jackpot reached approximately $97 million.

The game last won a jackpot of over $40 million in the draw on September 30, 2020, when a Seguin resident received a prize of approximately $47 million.
