Little Wishes Official Rules

To participate, go online by visiting wfaa.com/littlewishes, filling in all required information and following all posted instructions.

1. NO PURCHASE IS REQUIRED TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASING DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE FEDERAL, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS. NO WHERE IT IS PROHIBITED.

All essays must be the entrant’s only original work, must be typed or legible in English, and must be limited 500 words. Judges may disqualify previously published essays/videos or those that have won previous awards or competitions. A qualified expert will review all nominations and submit the list of finalists to the panel of judges. Around the first week of each month, a panel of qualified judges selected by the Sponsor will evaluate that month’s finalists and select one monthly winner. Judges will award up to 50 points for entries that demonstrate compelling need and up to 50 points for the quality of the nominated written essay. The entry of the finalist with the highest total score will be the winner. In the event of a tie for first place, the judges re-evaluate the finalists’ entries with equal results using the same criteria.

Maximum one (1) entry per person. Multiple entries via software or other automated processes will not be counted. Entries not selected as winners will automatically roll over to subsequent Contest months, if applicable.

Multiple participants cannot use the same email address. Sponsor shall not be liable for incomplete, lost, overdue, overdue, misdirected or illegible entries, entries exceeding 500– a word limit that does not comply with the provisions of these Official Rules will be disqualified. 4. Picking a Winner. Approximately on the third Monday of the month following the entry date and prior to the end of the Contest, the WFAA will personally visit one monthly winner (i.e. the last visit will take place in December 2020). If the person who submitted the nomination cannot be contacted within 5 days of the WFAA’s initial attempt on or about the first Monday of the month, or if the selected winner fails to accept the prize, the WFAA will select another winner from the remaining nominations. .

5. Prizes and odds. One (1) Monthly Winner for each month of the Contest from February 2020 to December 2020 inclusive (11 (eleven) winners in total) will receive a prize corresponding to their nomination, valued at least $500.00 and no more than $6,000.00 .

The chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

6. Winner Notification and Acceptance. Each winner’s nominees will be notified within five business days of being selected by the panel of judges. 8. Copyright. 10. Sponsor. Little Wish Contest sponsored WFAA-TV. The decisions of the Sponsor and the Contest judges regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Contest are final and binding in all respects.
