Jimmy Hula of Winter Park is about to open his 10th restaurant in New Smyrna Beach.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Florida. Winter Park-based Jimmy Hula’s is about to open its 10th restaurant, this time in a historic building in New Smyrna Beach.

The new location opens in the former Bob’s Automotive building at the corner of Canal and Faulkner streets. No opening date has been set yet, but the company has said it plans to open in the spring.

Jimmy Hula said in a press release that he is working to use as much of the existing building as possible to preserve its history.

According to the report, the restaurant will have a capacity of 150 guests, will have a covered outdoor dining area and a full liquor bar.

The new location will be managed by Parkerstark, which also operates Jimmy Hula’s offices in Ormond Beach, Port Orange and St. Augustine, the company said.

Jimmy Hula’s will be expanding significantly in the coming years. The company said it most recently sold two “Main Franchise” deals that will build 25 new locations along Florida’s east coast, stretching from St. John’s County to Miami-Dade County.

The restaurant menu features a variety of surf and peat tacos, as well as burgers, burritos, sandwiches, salads and nachos.
