Missouri sues Biden administration over ‘large-scale censorship’

The Biden administration has attempted to censor or suppress conservative voices and critics of its COVID policy, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey claims in a lawsuit.

“It’s about defending the Constitution, and I totally agree with that,” Bailey says. “I am proud to be partnering with the Louisiana Attorney General on this case because this is the most important First Amendment case in a generation. We have uncovered massive censorship, coercion, and collusion between officials in the White House and federal bureaucratic agencies, and their henchmen in major tech and social media, to suppress and censor free speech in America.”

Earlier this month, Bailey released a statement chronicling several legal “evidence” relevant to the case, including the White House’s attempt to force Twitter to censor Robert F. Kennedy Jr., son of Bobby Kennedy and nephew of President John F. Kennedy. Bailey described Kennedy, who questioned some aspects of coronavirus vaccines, as “a notorious critic of the White House’s COVID-19 narrative.”

Another exhibit claims that White House Chief Digital Officer Rob Flaherty is “demanding[ed] Facebook is stepping up its vaccine ‘deletion’ operations, while others scold Facebook for not taking substantive action against Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson’s posts.

“We are going to continue to root out this massive censorship enterprise that is violating the free speech of Americans,” Bailey said. “And we’re not going to stop. But the key piece of evidence we found is that there were people in the White House specifically targeting conservative voices on major tech social media.”

Topics the White House allegedly wanted to cover up, including not only the COVID-19 vaccine silence, but allegations of interference in the 2020 election and the veracity of Hunter Biden’s laptop.

“This resulted in them forcing the big social media tech companies NS to cover up Hunter Biden’s laptop story,” he said. “Now, this is the information that Americans deserve to hear. They deserve to have this information in a free, fair and open debate in order to make the right voting decisions. They were deprived of this information.”
