How to deal with the sudden death of a 26-year-old son: WWE Hall of Famer admits grim truth months later

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash is in dire need of prayer as he struggles with the sudden and traumatic loss of his 26-year-old son.

Nash made some disturbing comments this week on the Kliq THIS podcast he co-hosts with interviewer Sean Oliver following the death of son Tristen Nash in October.

Kevin Nash fans and listeners of the show are rightfully concerned about Nash’s mental health and will to live after he said, “Today is the 12th week I’ve lost my boy. Time flies when you have a gun in your mouth, I mean time flies when you’re having fun.”

Oliver, clearly taken aback by Nash’s pain-filled words, replied, “Don’t play like that. You have weapons so you can’t say things like that.”

Nash coldly retorted, “I can do whatever I want. Until I leave a note.

Days after his son’s death on October 19, Nash reported that the cause was cardiac arrest due to complications resulting from the seizure.

According to Fox News, the former WWE star said he and his son had just quit drinking “cold turkey” alcohol days before his death, suggesting that the seizure could be the result of delirium tremens.

“Alcohol is the nastiest… it’s a nasty drug… Somebody, if you haven’t been drinking, you’ve probably done yourself an incredible favor,” he said a week after Tristen’s death. “If you drink and you have problems and you know it affects your life and you know it affects your health, you don’t see the damage it does.”

During this week’s podcast, Nash tragically described how the loss has changed his outlook on life.

Oliver asked him, “It’s kind of a knee-jerk reaction to just saying, ‘I’m fine,’ you know when people say, ‘Hey, how are you today?’ And you say “I’m fine”?

“Well,” Nash said, “I mean, it’s a lot easier to say, ‘I’m fine,’ than it is to say, ‘You know, every morning when I wake up, I just… the first thing that happens is I come over. to the understanding that instead of three people in my house, there are now two of them, and the third person is not on vacation, is not visiting a friend, or is simply late. He will never return. And then I’m sitting on the bed with absolutely nothing to do, and I’m like, “So why am I getting out of bed?”

“At this point, the other person might say, “Wow, me, wait, it looks like my lawyer is calling me!”

“So it’s easier to just—no, you don’t want to know.

Have you ever been suicidal?

According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, suicide is the 12th leading cause of death in the United States, with middle-aged white men at the highest statistical risk.

There are two quotes, one biblical and one secular, that I would like to share with those struggling with suicidal thoughts, and ones that I would encourage you to share with someone in your own life in such a crisis.

The first of 1 Corinthians 6:19-20: “Or dOr do you not know that your bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit living in you, whom you have from God? You are not yours for you were bought with a price. So, glorify God in your body.”

Second quote: “Suicide doesn’t end the pain, it just passes it on to someone else.”

James 5:16 says that the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective, so please pray for Kevin Nash that the darkness he faces every day will be lifted and that hope will be rekindled in his grieving soul.

Anyone experiencing this issue is strongly advised to call 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline for assistance. Dial 988 to contact “a national network of community crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support for people in a suicidal crisis or emotional distress, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States.”
